Secure
the 3 brackets to the base using the bolts provided These
are the longest bolts in the package.

Bolt
the pole transition to the top of the legs using the short
bolts The frame should now look the same as in the picture
at right.
Step

Remove
the pipe/hose assembly from the post package. This has been
pre assembled and teflon taped. If there is noTeflon tape
on the thread of the pipe use an approved thread Sealant.
Screw the pipe into the heater head using 2 pipe wrenches.
Step

Fit
the pole to the heater head using the screws supplied. Face
the warning label to the front.

Fit
the reflector to the heater head and secure with the wing
nuts and flat washers supplied.
Step
6
Position
the cage over the base and leg assembly and then fit the pole
and head assembly.. Feed the flexible hose through into the
base assembly. Secure the pole to the base assembly with the
M6 nut and bolt supplied.

7
Using
suitable spanners fit the regulator to the hose assembly.
Step
8
Position
your 9 kg gas bottle in the cage, connect the regulator to
the bottle and secure the retaining chain. Turn on the gas
bottle and using soapy water check all joints for gas leaks.
The
Ozglow P40 patio heater is for use with gas supplied from a 9KG
propane bottle. Gas pressure details are on the appliance data
plate fitted above the gas valve.
This
Ozglow heater is to be installed to the requirements of all local
gas authorities.
This
Ozglow heater must have the following clearances from combustible
materials: 300mm above, 600mm at the sides and 2000mm below. For
all other installation requirements refer to code AG 601- gas
installations.

This
Ozglow heater is for outdoor installation only. An outdoor area
is defined as:
With
walls on all sides but with no overhead cover
Within
a partial enclosure that includes an overhead cover and no more
than 2 side walls. These side walls may be parallel, or at right
angles to each other.
Within
a partial enclosure that includes an overhead cover and 3 side
walls, as long as 30 percent or more of the walls forming the
partial enclosure is open and unrestricted.
This
Ozglow heater is to be placed on level, stable surfaces.
This
Ozglow heater should be inspected before each use. Particular
attention should be given to the hose assembly to make sure there
is no signs of damage or wear and tear.
This
Ozglow heater should be checked at least once a year by a qualified
service person.
Keep
this Ozglow heater free of cobwebs and in as dust free an area
as possible.
If
the flame becomes excessively long and yellow or if soot builds
up on the emitter mesh turn the heater off and call a qualified
service person.
If
this ozglow heater will not light or operate normally contact
your local authorised service agent or your local gas authority.
When
this Ozglow heater has been assembled follow the lighting instructions
on the data plate and test the heater operation. On the first
light up or when the bottle has been changed it may take several
minutes to purge the air from the pilot line.
Some
smoke may appear around the emitter screen and reflector for the
first minute or two of the initial light up.
To
light the pilot
1.
Depress the control knob and rotate anti clockwise to the pilot
position
2.
View the pilot through the pilot hole near the burner
3.
Hold the knob in the pilot position until the pilot has been alight
for 15 seconds. If the pilot does not light repeat steps 1 - 3
To
turn heater on
Rotate
the knob anti clockwise from the pilot position to either the
high or low positions.
To
turn heater off
Rotate
the knob clockwise to the pilot position. If you rotate the knob
fully clockwise the pilot will also turn off.
